It is very helpful and it works pretty good but since my DH went grill crazy, I don't need it anymore. I have never cooked fish on it because my DH does that on the outside grill. We live on the Southern Coast so we cook outside year round. Let's face it, when you are married to someone who thinks he is God's greatest gift to the outside grill, you really don't need one of these. Of course it is nice once in a while to have grilled food that doesn't crunch, isn't raw in the middle and taste like grilled meat but you can't have everything. I love my DH.

I love the idea of the grill & it really does work; however I am giving it only 3 stars. The product itself is wonderful & would be good for winter days or those of us w/ small apartments, etc. And it does cut down cooking time by about 1/2 or more. If you are a big "fish" person, I would not suggest using this grill. My husband & I received it as a gift & everything was great until we used it for salmon. We cleaned it extremely well, as usual, but the next time we used it for something else, the salmon smell seeped into our kitchen & food; also had the salmon taste. The grills are pourous, so if you plan on cooking a lot of different items, I would reccommend the grill w/ the removable plates so you can soak them. Not sure if anyone else had this trouble, but trust me, we CLEANED it.

I made burgers in one of these before...they came out so dry and tasteless. I'll never use one again.

I don't like the way it's designed. Our's fell apart after a year's use.

The George Foreman(Note the Proper Spelling) Grill is a good appliance if you lack a proper grill, but it is no substitute for the real thing. I used it to make burgers when my wife and I lived in a tiny apartment with no yard or deck. However, now that I have access to a nice grill, I never use the Foreman grill anymore.

Very good for cooking burgers, boneless chicken breasts and bacon, but really bulky, it takes up a lot of cupboard space. Its not as easy to clean as they show in the infomercials either. But its nice to see that George was able to find a second career and give up boxing in his 50's. Or was it his 60's?
