The new favicon is a nice little aesthetic improvement, but it isn't earth shattering and doesn't really improve the functioning of the site in any way (though I have learned a new word since I'd never even heard of a "favicon" prior to reading about this enhancement). I suppose that the icon serves as a status symbol suggesting that RIA has become a major internet player deserving of a unique identifier. I will say that the icon doesn't always appear on my browser, and I really hope that not too many resources were invested in this change, as so many more practical improvements need to be made.

This isnt a bad idea because as a rater said, when you are scrolling through your many websites, it highlights RIA and makes the website stand out. Plus Ive always thought that Favicons looked kind of cool. Instead of just making it like a boring web address like the billions out there, it makes the website standout, almost like the millions of addresses in the phone book, but how it is refreshing on the eyes to finally see this big colour advert after the many addresses and phone numbers in small, black print. It will make RIA more recognisable.

This is a BIG help when rolling through your favorites or bookmarks.

It's nice when a website has a custom favicon so you can just glance at a tab and know what site it has on it. Rateitall's is rather boring and not particularly descriptive though.

Clever. It's actually the first time I've seen this feature on any web-site, but I noticed it shows up only when using the Firefox browser...

There wasn't one before? Heh, shows you how much I pay attention! It's cute.

Great but, I can't see it.

I've had favicon envy for a while, and I'm thrilled that RateItAll finally has one. It's the little things in life that make me happy.
