He'll need one or two seasons to learn, and it's not like the Jets will be fighting for a Super Bowl in the next two seasons, so they can break Clemens in.

 | abichara (60) 05/09/2006 | The Jets are a team with plenty of needs, especially along the offensive line. The new coaching regime there took some steps in fixing this, but there are still a few gaps. Picking D'Brickashaw Ferguson and Nick Mangold seem to indicate that the Jets were out to fill needs. Both are good players who will probably start this year and get better with time. There are still some questions on QB, especially with regards to Chad Pennington's health and the ability of Patrick Ramsey to be a starter. Key players on their defense like John Abraham have left in the offseason and it remains to be seen whether their replacements will be of the same caliber. The Jets will most likely have another rebuilding year in 2006.

 | HistoryFan (98) 05/02/2006 | But what kind of name is D'Brickashaw Ferguson, anyway?

 | zuchinibut (35) 05/02/2006 | The Jets got the best tackle and center in the draft, which will be very helpful in protecting the less mobile Patrick Ramsey. Their other picks look to be very strong, including Kellen Clemens at QB.
