I do not think the Cardinals could have had a better draft that what they had. Leinhart passing the Leonard Pope and Fitzgerald. This team will be a force to reckoned with in the near future.

I think Leinart will get a real feel for the NFL this year and hopefully the "Cardinal Curse" won't get him!!!

Should be an interesting team in a few years depending on how long edge can remain effective.

"We got Matt Leinart! We got Matt Leinart!" You also got an offensive line that will give up alot of sacks.

I watched the Draft from about pick #6 through pick #11 and during this time, I kept thinking how the distribution of QB's would affect our friend numbah16tdhaha.

Specifically, which would be worse for him?

1. Having Matt Leinart of the Hated (by Numbah) USC Trojans play for his hometown team and having to endure daily TV stories and newspaper reports about the golden boy from Southern Cal.

2. Leinart being selected by the Broncos for the purpose of being groomed to unseat his beloved Jake Plummer as the Denver QB.

I guess time and upcoming posts from our Arizona friend will indicate which is and/or would have been more painful for him.

Who's smiling? I gave up on these tweakers. Warner will go down again and Matt Leinart will get a taste of how it feels to get beaten on, finally. I really never cared for him and now I hope that the continued suckage of the Cards tarnishes him.

Benefitted from Buffalo's snoozing at Radio City. Leinart will take some lumps early in the season but will right the ship in time. Very lucky to pick him up with the tenth overall pick.

Numbah must be smilin'. With the great receivers, Edgerrain James, and a good pass-oriented coach in Dennis Green, I think Matt Leinert can step in today and make the Cardinals the sleeper in '06. By playing in college last year, I think Leinert is ready now.

Getting Matt Leinart is a great move for the Cardinals. They have a developing high-power offense with Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald at receiver, and Edgerrin James in the backfield. Leonard Pope, their 3rd round pick, also gives them a big target at tight end. However, the Cardinals supposedly need a lot of help on the O-line, and the reviews for 2nd round pick Deuce Lutui are that he wasn't the best O-line option available at that time.
