 | OutsideBlitz (10) 06/18/2006 | Vince Young wasn't the right choice. Matt Leinhart was the perfect fit for them. He's ready to play and would reunite with Norm Chow. Plus, he and Lendale White would have worked together. Granted that the Titans couldn't have predicted Lendale being there for them in the second round, but it just goes to show you that Leinhart was the perfect fit, and they passed on him. The whole reason they took Young was so he could work out with McNair. But where's McNair now...?

 | abichara (60) 05/09/2006 | The Titans are usually good at finding talent, but I'm not too certain that picking Vince Young with the 3rd pick of the draft was all that smart. Don't get me wrong, he might be a franchise quarterback, but I don't think he's ready to play yet at the pro level. It's risky, he does have potential to be one of those QB's that are absolutely explosive from the onset. McNair has one foot out the door and backup Billy Volek isn't the long term solution, so they were correct to address this need in the draft. Their 2nd round pick, LenDale White was a good choice. Despite some of the additions, the Titans will continue to struggle a bit next year.

 | trebon1038 (62) 05/08/2006 | Vince Young is not like Michael Vick...he has a better arm and is more accurate. The Titans plan to groom him for a couple years like they did McNair. It is still up in the air on McNair's future. Apparently the possible trade with Baltimore isn't going to happen. He could still be released but who knows. White will be a good addition too. They went defense in the later rounds which was good too. I hope with the addition of some good free agents this year that we can get back on track.

 | numbah16tdhaha (147) 05/02/2006 | I think Young and White could be a force to be reckoned with in the very near future, but Young will have to adjust and McNair is likely gone, so as nice as the tutor idea is it probably won't happen.

 | thevezs (0) 05/02/2006 | Ih8rateitall-If Vince Young isn't as fast as Michael Vick, that doesn't say much about Vince Young's success in the NFL-Mike Vick is average at best! FYI: he's not as strong according to the combine's results.

 | Ih8rateitall (5) 05/02/2006 | Vince Young is a stud. He's not as fast as Michael Vick, but he's bigger and stronger. He's the perfect replacement for Steve McNair.

 | minkey (36) 05/02/2006 | C'mon zuchinibut, give me a little hope here. I've seen the Titans win about a combined 6 games in the past 2 years. A guy can dream, can't he? To think that McNair could be going to the Ravens makes me nauseaus...OC: I'm pretty ecstatic about the Titans picking up Vince Young. The guy's got a cannon and he can run. Learning under Steve McNair will be perfect. With one of the top 3 coaches in the leauge in Jeff Fisher and a good nucleus of young talent, the Titans are poised to be back in the playoff hunt within 2 or 3 seasons.

 | zuchinibut (36) 05/01/2006 | mikeydude: McNair won't be around in Tennessee to tutor Vince.
I think Vince Young will be similar to Michael Vick in terms of performance. They can both make great plays with their legs, but will have games where they struggle in the passing game. I don't think he will ever be an MVP, but he does have the ability to be a good quarterback. Lendale White could be a Jerome Bettis like back, and its a huge steal for them to get him in the second round. I don't really know much about their other picks, but with 10 total selections they should be able to find some other players to contribute.

 | alpepper (21) 05/01/2006 | Tennessee did pretty well with their last Black, mobile QB from the state of Texas. But I think they made the steal of the draft in getting Lendale White in the 2nd round. With Norman Chow as Offensive Coordinator and rock-steady Jeff Fischer, the Titans should improve.
