In Miami Beach but away from the action of South Beach, the Forge is rated as one of the best steakhouses in the country. The food won't disappoint, but be prepared to pay high prices. Nice wine selection--take a tour of their cellar, they have one bottle dating from 1822! Atmosphere is a little stuffy for the beach, but still it's a good place to take a date.

for a taste of Miami's finest (but priciest!) check out the Forge or Joe's Stone Crab. The meal is nice but at a price.
