I'd say they are clever attention getting spots. But I'd also point out that since they have been on the air I have purchased two pc format computers and am contemplating a third. The spots apparently didn't sway me over to the Mac product.

I was torn on this one, the comedy spots were humorous, but sometimes I felt like they were playing down to the intelligence of their audience. I think they can do better!

These commercials have obviously had a big effect on the brand, since Microsoft is spending $300 million in a campaign that is clearly a reaction to them.

This new Mac ad campaign is rather effective in my opinion. The young, hip and cool Mac contrasts nicely with the square, middle-aged PC, certainly the image Apple is shooting for here. The downside is that these spots will probably have little effect on big business, but I doubt that's the market aimed for here.

I like these ads. They do a good job capturing the mild snobbishness of Mac owners - cocky without being mean about it. The PC guy is brilliantly cast as well. My favorite of these commercials is the one with the camera from Japan.
