Brian McBride is an obvious pick for the US team. He plays for Fulham in the English Premier League, so he is used to a high level of competition. He has also proven over his career that he can score goals on the international level, with 29 all time, including 3 in the World Cup. He will be 34 years old during the tournament, so he should be able to appreciate that this will be his last big chance at the World Cup. I look for him to start and be a key contributor if the United States team is to advance.
