Lemmon's shleppy cameraman character allows Walter Matthau's greedy friend and attorney get the best of him in an insurance scam against an unsuspecting football athlete who temporarily incapacitated Lemmon during a game. It's Wilder's 'Ace in the Hole' (1951) all over again as another bitter, black 'victimless crime' comedy in the Billy Wilder opus.
