I spent some time playing around with AOL Aim Pages, and it's not terrible. Oddly, it seems to be geared towards folks who are somewhat technical. There are all kinds of neat drag and drop widgets that you can plug into your page, and you can customize with plenty of colors and backgrounds. I don't think you can actually go into the CSS like you can on MySpace. What bugs me about AIM Pages though is that there is no (easy) way to add a random widget from around the Web. I spent some time trying to do it and my programming skills were not good enough. Anyway, it's not a bad effort, but I think it may be too little, too late to take on the big boys, aka Facebook, Bebo, Xanga, Facebook.
