05/12/2006 | Ted's a buffoon, but even I will admit that he can certainly play, and his old band The Amboy Dukes had some good stuff. Nevertheless, he can't even dream of competing with Young's work with Buffalo Springfield, never mind his C,S,N,and Y stuff or his solo career. Plus, Neil's a pretty fine guitarist in his own right.
If rock stars who began their career in the 60's were competing on intellectual grounds as well as musical quality, this would be like Homo Habilis squaring off against Da Vinci.
