very smooth

I recently bought Paul Masson VSOP Brandy and was quite surprised. It is blended with French cognac. It was extremely smooth, not harsh at all. Very good on ice. Unlike Southern Comfort or Jack Daniels, which are both sour mash whiskey, it was very easy to drink. It is 80 proof, but it goes down easily. If you drink an ounce or so, you will feel its effect very quickly! A+

Paul Masson has a nice web site, check it out. The PM VSOP is a nice brandy. It is a blend of American brandy and cognac. It is aged about five years. It is sweetish and interesting. It has an woody, unsweetened cocoa-like after-taste. Personally, I found this a little distracting and something of a hump to get over, but over all, it was an enjoyable brandy. It is not the smoothest brandy, but I'd recommend it - it comes at a good price for the quality.
