Too bad he didn't work on his jumpshot as much as he practiced making nicknames for himself. . .decent forward-offensive game, some cool broken-backboard memories- but 3-stars for the all-time Sixer teams- there are a few players I put in front of ol' Chocolate Thunder. . .

Great backboard smashing hulk who was from the day when you didn't have to get arrested for assault in order to be called a characther. Dunkin' Darryl Dawkins coached semi-pro in my town for a couple of years in the 90's and was a very charming affable local media figure. After he came along they broke the mold. Or maybe he smashed it while practicing his dunk.

Sensational and exciting, revolutionary player- at his best- but just didn't have the longevity to be really considered a true all-time great.
