Being a Kentuckian I do love horses! It's funny that I own a Tennessee Walker instead of a Thoroughbred though isn't it? In my opinion all the horses on this list are great horses. I just had to vote for Barbaro though. He was a great horse and put his whole heart into running the race. He broke his leg and ultimately died from doing what he was bred to do which in it's own makes him a great horse.
I always have enjoyed horse racing but for some reason after Barbaro's death some of the enjoyment has worn off for me. Sometimes now I wonder if man's entertainment is worth so many injuries and deaths of such magnificent animals. Then again, I suppose Barbaro could have stepped in a gopher hole in the pasture.
