05/31/2006 | George Clooney is not actually a Southerner, so I'm not sure how he made CMT's list. He grew up in the greater Cincinnati metropolitan area, right along the Ohio River in Northern Kentucky. His dad was a very popular Cincinnati newscaster.
I work along the Ohio River, and several of my co-workers happen to live around the same neighborhood George grew up in. None of them would identify as a Southerner, unless they had grown up much further south than the greater Cincinnati metro.
