Breaking news: There IS life after high school! Who cares who is popular and who isn't? Being popular in high school doesn't amount for much when you're pushing your forties and pushing french fries. Everyone gets made fun of. So what? Everyone is a loser to someone else. Why should that opinion matter? "Peer pressure" exists, pre-, during, and post-high school. It's up to you to say "no", shrug your shoulders and say "whatever", or ask "why?" whenever applicable. Whoever said that high school is "the best four years of your life" seriously must have low expectations on their life.

High School is the root of all depression and ppsychological issues that I face today, it has to be, what is the purpose of high school but to really see who has the toughest psychological barrier. But anyway, all the "popular" people in high school are losers as adults, and the kids no one liked, because they did the right thing and studied, actually have a life, and made something of themselves. I wonder if that 15 minutes of fame in high school was really worth it for Christie Brownlee, who now wait's tables 3rd shift, at Waffle House, or worth it for Randy Perkins who is in prison for armed robbery of a convience store (where, by the way he made off with a whopping $97 bucks, 2 cases of beer, and 5 cartons of cigarettes).

Back in the forties and fifties when administrators had control of the public schools, life was great--the best times of our lives. Now with "progressives" in charge, we have gang-bangers, dope in schools, mopes who can't read, etc. Lots of the poor kids are total ignoramuses when they graduate, but, boy, do they have high self esteem. They don't know anything, but feel really good about it! I went to public school for all twelve years. If I had a kid starting now, I would NEVER sent the kid to a public school.

Indeed, half of my graduating class should have been left behind.

Well, this is also George W. Bush's fault as well. After all, don't you think that some kids SHOULD be left behind?

Again, Bush's fault. An outgrowth of "no child left behind"

I hated high school, too much peer pressure, too much pressure to fit in.
