Yeah,he was "beatable"-but he was no joke.If someone comes up with a list of the 100 greatest fights of all-time and divides it between Mathew Saad-Muhammad and Danny 'Little' Red Lopez,I wouldn't protest. And I'm not real sure if Roy Jones or Antonio Tarver could outlast Saad-Muhammad on a good night. He and Marvin Johnson should've been arrested after their two nuclear wars.

Matthew Saad Muhammad was one of the most exciting fighters of the late 1970s - early 80s. He was not a great boxer (he got hit a LOT), but he was a great fighter, winning many great fights with late-round comebacks, after appearing to be on the verge of getting knocked out himself. In his second fight with a very tough Yaqui Lopez, Lopez hit Saad with what seemed like 2 dozen clean, unanswered punches in the 8th round, and Saad looked out on his feet. But Saad came back and took Lopez out in the 14th. Saad Muhammad successfully defended his crown 8 times in what was a very tough light-heavy division at that time. His final overall record wasn't that impressive because he stuck around way too long and lost a lot of fights he never should have been in. But during his championship heyday, he was one tough dude.
