Don't know much about budgets? Well keep track with these amazaing analysts. If you think keep a budget for the country just remember what is involved in keeping track of expenses in the household, how expensive is it for the average American family to live? That all depends, of course but the bigger point is that these financial experts just sit patiently and analyze the ratings of the biggest coampanys. The other coampanys fall somewhere below. It is still incredible that when Alan Greenspan or now Ben Vernecke speak, the country litterally stops what it is doing and waits anxiously to see what the Feds will do as far as interst rates are concerned.

I did not know much of anything about this guy until I watched him testify before the Senate Budget Committee. I still don't really know all that much about the guy especially concerning if he can effect good policy, but I was impressed with the way he handled the hearing. Nobody was particularly confrontational although every senator was trying hard to get opinions out of him to advance their party's line. He was objective and insightful. So far he looks like one of Bush's better appointees and a worthy replacement to many economist's demi-god Alan Greenspan.
