06/11/2006 | Furniture/carpet scratching can mostly be alleviated by providing proper toys for the cat. If he/she likes it, she'll tear it to shreds.
Go to your vet if you've got a furniture scratching issue. There are many alternatives to declawing, which shouldn't* be done it at all possible.
