Kirk at by far his over-the top best as Chuck Tatum,a "250 dollar a week reporter" who does everything possible to prolong the attempted rescue of Leo Mimosa from a caved in mine; Kirk is just not that excited about covering rattle snake hunts and wants to get back to the big-time as soon as possible.I preferred the original title,'The Big Carnival'-and a carnival sets up outside of poor Leo's entrapment,giving him a headache-drills and a 'Leo' theme song will do it to ya as he...whoops,I don't wanna kill the suspense.
