Wareham 5

Great town. Just on the not-Cape side of the Cape Cod Canal so less
of a tourist trap while having all the natural qualities of the cape.

Wareham 5

I'll always love Wareham. As a kid growing up, I spent just about every summer there. A long time ago, a bunch of members of my family bought some land along the same stretch of cove, and that land and those houses have stayed pretty much unchanged since then. The result is that Wareham for me means cousins, cousins everywhere, and so much stuff to do as a kid - tennis, sailing, fishing for scup, bonfires, running, swimming. It could not have been a better place to spend a summer.

Because it's located at the very beginning of the Cape, it's easier to get to than say Wellfleet. And the beach is nice, the bay water is warm, and there isn't all that much commercial development. You can't beat Wareham.
