Major fake, and a transparent one, too. He is every bit a man of the Lord as I am a center in the National Basketball Association.

Perhaps the smarmiest and slimiest of the repellent TV-preachers currently polluting the airwaves (although he's undeniably entertaining, in a sick sort of way). Every episode basically consists of Tilton extorting...I mean exhorting...his followers to send their meager savings to him in order that they might reap a "miracle in life". Due to legal entanglements and controversies, Tilton has toned his act down somewhat (he no longer speaks in tongues or acts as openly demented as he once did), but he's enough to make even the most genuinely religious of people lose their faith in God. Probably the most blatant and shameless "religious" parasite out there (Catch the "Farting Preacher" videos out there on the internet featuring an excessivley flatulent Tilton if you want a good belly-laugh).
