She was so pretty...

Tragic in the sense that the premature death of anyone is tragic, especially someone as young as she was. In truth, I've never listened to her music and have no desire to, so I can't say whether or not the world lost a great artist when she died (certainly it didn't based on her non-performance in "Queen of the Damned", although, in fairness to her, it was an awful picture overall and they didn't give her much more to do than pose as a vampire menacingly). She's buried in Ferncliff Cemetery in Westchester County, NY, where John Lennon was cremated, and where Joan Crawford, Judy Garland, Ed Sullivan, Basil Rathbone, Malcolm X, and some members of my family are buried. Initially, she was buried in a relatively small crypt not far from where Judy Garland is buried, but she's since been re-interred in a far more elaborate, ornate crypt.

Sorry folks, never heard of her, never seen her, and that vampire movie she was in (pure skin-stuff) was borderline trash. . .no one deserves an untimely death, but glamorizing her alleged fame is strictly Disneyland material. . .

Anytime a young healthy person dies it is tragic. She was a talented singer and actress and probably had a successful career in front of her.
