Out of all the tampons out there to me Tampax is the best. If you think otherwise so be it. Jennifer

DISGUSTING ! Terrible, terrible product. Whoever made it obviously doesn't use tampons. The tampax is hard to insert - due to the fact that it hurts. The pain is tremendous. The tampon itself is oversized. When it opens it becomes HUGE. On top of everything it's very uncomfortable. It's totally not true that you can't feel it. I've used O.B. for years. The only reason I was forced to try Tampax was because I send my boyfriend to get me tampons and they didn't have any other kind in the store. I am throwing the Tampax away. I can't live through using another one of their products.

I HATE Tampax. All styles- Cardboard Tampax, Plastic(Pearl), and Compak. They all suck. The only upside is that they all have really pretty wrappers ;]

I have to say, I have had some good experience with tampax over playtex.I rarely have leaks with tampax. My favorite type is the tampax pearl with the plastic applicators and the quiet covering. No one wants to know you are on your period. The cardboard type is not my favorite for sure. It is super uncomfortable to insert, but I have had more luck with them not leaking than any other plastic type. I love the compact tampax type as well. This is my second favorite because they are desecrate and I can fit them easily in my purse for long days at work or for vacations.

Leaks EVERYTIME. Sometimes I even have to wear a pad [which i hate] as backup..yes pads!....not liners!

My wife uses this brand and loves them. I also use them oddly enough after or during sex when she wants to play with me "back there". Being bi I also find one very useful to have after a session to stop lube and "dribbles" on my g-string
Love n sex

The Pearl Compacts are an absolute nightmare. They are a pain in the neck to insert (poor design), and leak like crazy. I have used Super and still had multiple leaks in one day. Yes, they only partially absorb and then leak!

The new Tampax tampons are horrible (painful and messy). I recently discovered the Equate brand at Wal-Mart, which is identical to the old Tampax tampons, and will be using that brand from now on.

For decades I used cardboard Tampax tampons. I never had leaks, they were easy to insert and I never felt them. When they changed their design to the 3 way protection/grip applicator I was very dissatisfied! I waste 2 to 3 tampons every time I try to insert because it wont come out of the applicator and when it is inside, I can feel it and I HATE it! It only fills up on one side and then starts leaking! I have to then change the half full tampon and go through all the trouble of trying to get another one to come out of its applicator! They SUCK! I need to find a brand thats like the old Tampax.

I have tried every possible variety of Tampax tampons, and none of them seem to work that well. No matter how I insert them, I can always feel them, and they are highly uncomfortable. The cardboard ones seem to be the worst, because they are so dry and difficult to insert. The only good thing from Tampax is Compak Pearl. They are actually semi-dependable and comfortable.

I used Tampax for YEARS and I always had leakage problems. One day it occurred to me that I should try a different brand and I've never gone back. Playtex is much MUCH better, but also more expensive. Its one of those things- you get what you pay for.

Even the super-jumbo-huge ones cannot sustain me throughout the day. They leak terribly, and I just generally hate them.
My fave is o.b.

tampax compak are great but they need a higher absorbancy i need more then super plus on my heavy days1

Yeah it was a lot of fun last night. I bought some of the new Tampax pearls because they didnt have the usual equate brand I use sometimes. I purchased the compact super absorbancy. Everytime I went to the bathroom the tampon needed changed. I believe by the time I went to bed I had to go through 9. Yes, 9!! As I was saying, it was lot of fun when I went out to dinner last night, then somewhere else, and used the bathroom. Sadly for me the tampon had leaked horribly within 2 hours and soaked the entire front of the pants. I never felt the leakage but had to leave immediately to return later with another tampon brand and new pants. I'm not that heavy, and it was super, come on! Just horrible, I wont be buying the pearl again.

i think they work fine i use any tampon that i can get my hand on at the time mostly store brand or if i get a brand name usually its tampax pearl.

Tampax seems to be the biggest tampon company, as well as most popular brand. I tried them for this reason.
mdc877 05/05/2007
I have yet to find a Tampax tampon that doesnt leak...and the cardboard applicators are uncomfortable...The compak ones are hard to get in the right position.
NedraEwart 04/22/2007
I found the cardboard applicator uncomfortable.
bleeder 04/10/2007
They're pretty good at not leaking, but no matter what size, always feel like they're falling out.
JessPaiMaj 03/19/2007
The BEST I have ever used!
dsrtg 02/17/2007
I love the Tampax Pearl brand. Absorbent and comfortable, and the scented ones aren't irritating to the skin.
trulyme84 01/10/2007
Tampax are really durable. But they always leak. Tampax pearls are better, because the wrapper doesnt make any noise when you open it. I'm pretyy sure these are the tampon of choice for most
queenofChoir 01/05/2007
the aplicatior for the sleders are very dull and uncomfortable and they aren't very fun.
