From the submittor: "Easy drnkability, perfect flavor. Great with a splash of water, or neat, although at 94 proof, it takes some getting used to. Inexpensive compared to other bourbons of this quality ($18 a bottle)." (Add picture)

I wish I could rate this 4 1/2 as it is very good just shy Great in my book. This Whiskey is IMHO the best buy out there of quailty Whiskeys smooth flavorfull and at a priced lower in my town the the popular so so Jack and about $5 less than then Makers Mark, I can aford to become a premium Drunk and not just have a drink a or two a couple times a week. Life is too short to drink so so Whiskeys neat or on Ice. INMHO this is much better than Knob Creek and at a lower price.

I'll give it a 4, mostly because it may well be the smoothest bourbon for the money I've ever tasted. I've paid double for bourbon not half as good. Found it purely by accident browsing my way to Evan Williams Single Barrel and a 12 year old label with a $15 price tag jumped out at me. My first thought was "too good to be true" and I almost passed it by. Decided to give it a try out of curiosity, and it is now my staple bar bourbon.

Tastes too dirty. You can smell what you're getting into as you lift the glass to your face. It smells like the ground; like a nursery after a good rain. Not very smooth, though it can be taken straight on ice or neat. Like another reviewer here, I wouldn't mix this one; just buy it to experience the taste. It feels like what bourbon probably tasted like back in the early 1800's, without the current technology, and that's a good thing.

I have tried just about ever bourbon on the market and must say I disagree with the others here. The Eligah Craig 12 was smooth but it had a strange un-bourbon like after taste. Almost a medicine twang on the finish. I much prefer Even Willams single barrel or Ridgemont reserve at close to the same price.

Super value. If you like mild bourbon / Kentucky avoid. This one has big and smooth flavor for a 101 proof. Best buy. Save some for me. Worth the extra dollars. Watch out for the effects of a higher proof whiskey. Wild Turkey is smoother. This one has more body / charachter. If you like bourbon / Kentucky,... highly recommended.

A + ! Smooth, good price, 12 years old vs 7 years old at same price. Jack Black fans should compare.

Great if you like bourbon with a dry finish. I do. It is my favorite bourbon in its price range. Very smooth. Excellent value.
