Well, Mike Savage scares this young conservative silly. I used to love listening to him but then I got smart and realized that only 50% of what he said was actually true. How can anyone go through life feeling so angry and bitter like that? That's truly awful.

Michael 'Sewage" is scary.I think he''ll end up in Den Haag, highest court for war criminals.
I don't understand this fascist has 8+ mil.listener.Where this country goes?
It's OK maybe in pre-war Germany or Rewanda(where radio hosts led massacres)but here today in America..
Let's see,he hatres(or want to kill):all Arabs(Muslims),all Europeans(cowards),all gays and lesbians,all Latinos(all Immigrants),all women,all Democrats,etc.....
With whom he'd live.Personally,I think he needs a help(mentally ill).We have to put him in hospital before its to late!

The day I am actually sucker enough to believe that either the Michael Savage's OR the Al Franken's currently cluttering up the airwaves are interested in anything more than increasing their bank accounts is the day that I will voluntarially commit myself to an institution. The only thing these people appear to have a grasp on is the chain of whatever group of fanatics they appeal (and possibly their own ying yangs). Face it - they will say whatever it takes and they always know just how to get the right people going and the bucks flowing. In their way, both Franken and Savage are equally great at what they do - writing comedy.

Update- aWiseguy, I understand your point, and would concede that it's not entirely inaccurate. There are left-wing (if you will) radio people out there that I do find shrill and one-dimensional, but how many left-wing talk-show hosts are there out there, realistically? Air America and Pacifica are the only 2 "left-wing" stations I can think of. Obviously, my sentiments are left-wing and I'm going to favor an Al Franken over a Bill O'Reilly...not because I personally like Franken, or Amy Goodman (personally, I think Amy at least could do with cultivating a sense of humor) but because I think they have a far greater grasp on the facts and truth. I think I was probably mistaken in saying that Savage and his kind don't believe anything they say. Reflecting further upon it, I think that was an erroneous statement on my part. But I do believe they're essentially callous and cynical "entertainers" whose primary concern in life is how much money they can make, and Savage knows that the more insane and manic he comes across, the higher profile he's going to have, hence the more lucrative will be his income. To people like Savage, Coulter, Limbaugh-clone Glenn Beck and others, money is always far more important than ideology.
---One of the crazier, hence funnier, of the venom-spitting neo-con attack-vipers infesting the airwaves these days. Of course, I don't think he believes a word of what he's saying, but then that's probably true of everyone from Rush Limbaugh (floating on a pink Vicodin cloud) to the lowliest Sean-Hannity clone...

I'd say that a fair deal of his anger is actually disingenuous, and designed to appeal to the anger and the resentments of his audience, which is often comprised of boors, Neanderthals, racists, sycophants, people who never got past the high school football hero mentality, etc. I think that oftentimes, Savage conjures up some invented anger even when the day that he's having is a really good one, in order to fullfill the expectations of his ready- made audience. Which isn't to say that he doesn't believe in the stuff he yells about, just that to some rather substantial degree all of his outrage is ratings driven propaganda and provocative seething designed to give his base what they want.
