The drafted Rudy Gay at #8 and then traded him to Memphis for Shane Battier. That might be an unfair trade for the Rockets, because Gay might develop into an All Star. However, if Gay flops, they will be happy with the pick. Their other selection was Steve Novak, who shot better than 50% from 3 last year at Marquette. He is a great shooter with decent size, and I think he compares well to Kyle Korver. I think Novak is a mostly one dimensional player, but as a shooting specialist can have an immediate impact with McGrady and Yao creating open looks for him.
