. . .funny, that's what the current administration is doing. . .where's the difference, kids? Everyone hates the culture in washington yet no one ever turns down the opportunity to get there. And there is a real reason why this message of fiscal insanity for one party rings real hollow in light of the fiscal mess created in part by the opposite party. Ahh. . .repubs hate those corrupt Washingtonians- yet they will embrace them with big arms when the political winds blow differently. . .

I fail to see why anyone believes 'liberal' politicians are any worse than their 'conservative' counterparts when it comes to taking our money and handing it over to their rich friends. In fact, the odious Bill Clinton was the most genuinely fiscal conservative of all presidents of the past half century.

I certainly agree that this is a stretch. But over the past three decades, the biggest spenders have been Republicans. By far.

I think this list may have been mis-labeled. This item should go under the category "Beliefs required by politicians of the majority party". And that's ANY party at the time.

When people vote for a candidate based on party affiliation rather than whether or not they're good for the country, you truly get the sense of what they mean when they say that the people vote in the government they deserve.

Sadly, we've lost this battle. Even republicans spend like drunken sailors and we hardly even raise a question. Taxes are much too high in the US today but don't look for any relief as our spending addiction has spread like a cancer to the party put in power to stop the runaway, irresponsible spending.
