this is the song which made red hot chili peppers so successful and popular. definitely one the best songs of the 90's from one of the best rock bands of the 90's. beautiful music and meaningful lyrics.

i am not fan of this group but i love this song

Still one of my favorites from RHCP, and on my MP3 player probably as a permanent resident.  Never gets old.

"Under The Bridge" was off of the Pepper's breakthrough release "Blood Sugar Sex Magik". Tracks like "Give It Away" and "Breaking The Girl" off of the same album were better in my opinion and they had released a great cover of "Higher Ground" a couple of years earlier; however, this is the single that put the band on the commercial map. The song is decent and certainly has a nice slower groove than is typical of the Band. Nevertheless, they never were really the same after this single, and the Peppers seemed to have lost some edge as time progressed. "Under The Bridge" charted for 23 weeks in 1992 (#2).

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have staying power. All of their music is great, this song included.

One of the top songs of the 90's in my opinion. Still won't turn this song off to this day if it comes on the radio.

A decent slow rocker with good lyrics from a band that I otherwise consider to be quite overrated.
