In my opinion, this was their best song. Yeah, they're supposed to be a metal group, but every once in a while it's okay to slow things down.None of their other songs can even begin to compare to More Than Words. It's just such a sweet, slow, soft song for lovers. One of the best ones made if you ask me.Not only that, but it's a really nice song to play on Singstar: 90's. =P

Whew! Tastes vary. In my opinion this is one of the best songs of the rock era, period. The acoustic guitar work is in a class by itself.

Singer was unclear on the meaning of the word "words." Since his feelings were "more than words," he should have not said anything at all. If he had remained silent, all of us would have been happier.

Some people tend to pan any song on the slower side, but this is rather foolish in my opinion. The acoustic guitar remains one of my favorite instruments, and singles like "More The Words" is one of the reasons why. Extreme manages to keep the music and lyrics from getting too camp and sappy, and this isn't always an easy trick. The bad side is that this song is destined to be covered by scores of boy bands and lounge acts (as we've already seen with Westlife and David Cassidy). "More Than Words" charted in the States for 17 weeks in 1991, peaking at #1.
