better than the first. good action sequences.

A decent sequel but not as good as the first. I am looking forward to the third film.

Endless, boring, unimaginative, run of the mill sequel.

This was an unspectacularly good movie. The special effects were excellent and the whole movie is creative. However, I felt like this film was more cartoonish than it needed to be. The sword fighting scene on top of an out of control mill wheel went on for probably 5 whole minutes. I understand you need to suspend belief with most movies, but I just got annoyed by how long that went on. The whole movie seemed too drawn out. I don't mind being led on for the next installment in the series, but 2 and a half hours was a long time just to set up the next film. Dead Man's Chest definitely was not of the same quality that the first Pirates of the Caribbean film. However, it was still entertaining and worth a watch. I'm going to give it a 3, although its probably worth 3.5 or 7 out of 10.

Not as good as first, but "decent" is a good term to describe this film.

Two thumbs up! I am a big fan of the series!
