I don't claim to know a lot about soccer, but even I couldn't miss the impact that Cannavaro had on the World Cup.

The most striking thing about this guy was his athleticism. On a field of great athletes, he consistently looked to be the fastest, strongest guy out there. He tackles with ferocity, and always seemed to be outjumping guys who were much taller than him.

Clearly a big reason that Italy gave up only two goals all tournament.
