Avoid Nationwide like the plague! They are not even a real moving company - they contract out to others and have no control over what happens. They completely messed up my move and cost me $100s in having to pay for extending my lease when they didnt pick up in time. D0 N0T TRUST THEM WITH Y0UR BEL0NGINGS-D0 N0T GIVE THEM Y0UR M0NEY 0R Y0U WILL BE S0RRY LIKE I AM!!!!!!!

Guess I should feel lucky since my guys weren't drunk. :) The service from the company is much better on sale of the product than the service and the performance. This company operates under many different aliases so be careful. The same guy owns them all. Overall, I got my stuff - however the timelines were not what was agreed to in any form. In fairness I compressed my timelines, but still i would have preferred an honest answer.

This company uses a combination of internal and external companies to move you things so it amazes me it gets there period. In my case it was fully outsourced move. The firm originally hired could not make the due date on the contract and yet tried to get me to adjust my date. Never the less they ultimately pulled out of the move. Nationwide was not good about keeping me informed about this. This new movers finally showed up on Saturday when the original movers were supposed to be there Wednesday or Thursday. Things continued at this pace, but they overall moved and inventoried everything well.

Getting to my destination they arrived 3-4 days after we originally agreed. 2 weeks is a long timeOne of the items of which they knew was heavy required more people so they came back 3 days later to deliver that item. Of course it was my bed.

In all honesty remove the "mover broker" from the equation and deal with a mover directly. There is no value add. They will sell you on the fact that their flexibility and everything else, blah, blah - bottom line is they leave you hanging if you're on a tight timeline.

The compensation for my mess is agreed to $150.00 for being jammed up for another 3 days. Barely covers meals / hotels if you're in a relocation. But I figured they got roughly $800 of the fee and the movers made roughly $1800.

Use a direct mover or call the one they used directly. It was called Capital Moving. i'm not plugging them. They were decent. Not the best and not the worst. They just got dealt a bad hand because Nationwide is a chop shop. Other than the lateness of it all it went relative well. 3 stars for Capital. 1 star for Nationwide. Save the $ and call yourself.

Long story short, they showed up drunk at the pickup, then showed up a week late on the delivery - and I had to call the cops on the delivery men because they gave $40 to a random shady guy walking down the street to help them move our stuff in (who was casing our apt) and wouldn't tell him to leave until we called the cops on them. While waiting for our stuff to come, they would tell me, in a span of 30 minutes, that the truck was in Alabama, then in NY, then the stuff was still in their warehouse, then the driver got arrested for not paying child support, then they were stuck in traffic in MD. Customer service reps yelled at me, called me names, and were generally rude. They also lost some of our things. Our compensation from them after reporting them to the BBB and filing a claim for our missing items? $9.

I ditto everything stated below. BEWARE - DO NOT USE! I wished I would have looked this up in the beginning. Lesson learned but what a nightmare of a lesson. They hired an unprofessional moving company. When they arrived I knew I should have turned them away. My estimate was low balled to the point of me paying 3 times as much as the estimate. They did not include the insurance like I asked but was told was included. They are tyring to charge me for boxes not used and I am the one who has to prove the mover did not use dishpack or waredrobe boxes (the mover thinks that if they packed dishes and clothes they used these types of boxes - which happen to be 3x as much as the boxes they did use). The list goes on and to top it off customer service is non-existent. THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS.

Beware, they also go by the name United States Van Lines. Ditto as to the other posters here. Lowball bidders just to get you and then forget you.

NEVER use this company unless you want them to hire a dishonest company that will cost you more in the end because they lied about the weight of my items, which was proven with a reweigh and they are rude and charged me for boxes they did not use to pack. They also lost and broke $400 worth of my stuff. They do not hire reputable companies to move.

This is ABSOLUTELY the worst move I have ever had!!! I have moved several times, so I came into this with very reasonable expectations, and yet everything has still fallen way short. It probably has less to do with Nationwide since they are only the middleman. However, they should be responsible for the companies they use. The pickup was horrible- I only have 2 rooms worth of stuff (MOST of which was packed) yet they were there till 12:30 a.m. and in the end, a third grader could have made a more complete inventory list! There was no thought put into the packing. For example, I had to stop a crew member from putting a box of wine glasses directly on the truck. What the hell was he thinking?! It was a small box with pictures of wine glasses all over it! I didn't expect the glasses to be taken out and wrapped, but at least you could put that small box in a larger box. Come on! But no, when I objected, the crew chief just laughed, got defensive, and insisted that I tell him how to do everything. Do I need to tell him how to wipe his @ss as well?! Probably 25% of the loose items that went on the truck didn't have a numbered sticker and weren't on the inventory list until I put them there. Again, the crew leader just kept dismissing my concerns, telling me, "it's fine and that they don't guarantee any of the stickers stay on items". How is it fine? If there's no sticker and it's not on the inventory, that stuff has NO chance of making it across country. Regardless, I expected better customer service after that. I know summer is a busy season, but you'd think they'd want to deliver it. At the very least, I expect people to call me back when they say they will! They said they'd call "at the end of last week". It's Tuesday of the following week. I have left 2 messages. Still nothing. Come on... I'm never getting my stuff, so please don't make the same mistake I did!

I found Nationwide Relocation Services through the Phoenix Yellow Pages. The primary contact person informed me that Nationwide would be contracting with Adrovic First Choice Moving to move my belongings. The furniture was delivered 3 days late. I had no problems contacting the company to see when my late furniture was going to arrive. After it was dropped off they charged me more money than what was on the contract. They insisted that I pay before checking to see if my things were all there. After they had left, I discovered that one of my most valuable belongings was missing. I sent both companies a certified letter letting them know that my armoire was missing. My primary contact at Nationwide told me that nobody in the company knows where it is. The person in claims for Nationwide told me that Adrovic is going to investigate it. I have repeatedly tried getting a hold of Adrovic directly and they will not take my phone calls, and will not pick up the certified letter that I sent from the post office. It has been 5 months since delivery and I still do not have my armoire nor have I heard anything more from either one of companies. Although I do understand that people make mistakes, I also find it hard to believe that the armoire walked off of the truck on its own. Honesty does not seem to be the policy of this company or of those that they contract through.

Worked with Bruce Rodriguez to get a quote. Decided on a small local company because I have family in town and sent him a polite note saying I would go with a local company. He sent me a rude email back stating that I was pretty much an idiot for going with a local company... I'm going to cancel your accounts. Good luck,

DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS MOVING COMPANY!!! First, customer service was horrible; they never let me know what was going on. They kept on telling me that the carrier was going to send a weight ticket so that I payed the exact amount of the weight of my belongings. Then, right before my things arrived they told me that they never weighed my items and that I would just have to pay the full estimated amount. Well, the sales representative that did the estimate told me to go ahead and over estimate everything so that when I got the weight that the cost would be less than the estimate. Second, my belongings didn't arrive until five days after the contract date. Third, they didn't even bring all of my belongings! When my things finally arrived, I realized they had forgotten everything out of my storage closet and everything out of my coat closet, which had two large boxes full of pictures and one full of toys. Fourth, when they packed everything inside, instead of putting the boxes in the rooms they belong, they dumped them all into the front dining room. Fifth, they tried to leave in a hurry without reassembling my bed! My boyfriend had to run outside and tell them to come back and assemble the bed! Then, they had the audacity to ask him for a screwdriver! Sixth, I payed them cash and I was too caught up in trying to get them to assemble the bed that I had forgotten to ask for a reciept (which I shouldn't have had to ask for one anyway). So, when I called Nationwide for compensation they told me that I had already been compensated, that they recieved an invoice from the carrier that I had payed $90 less than the original price. The crooked truck driver pocketed some of my money! They told me that if I didn't have a reciept there was nothing they could do!

I contracted with Nationwide to move my belongings from Pittsburgh, PA to Charlotte, NC. I specifically told them that I could not have them delivered before my closing date. They said "no problem." Then they delivered them the very next day, 11 days prior to my closing and said I would have to find a local storage facility and then hire another mover to move them to my house at a later date. Also my final bill was several hundred dollars more than their "not-to-exceed" cost. When I called them, they said "too bad, you must have misunderstood, there is nothing we can do." Use at your own risk! There is no customer service once they have taken your money.
