Liriano definitely should be an All Star, but how he got there was a mess. He has the best era in the league right now, and has 10 wins despite only starting 10 games. His whip is below 1.00, and if you have seen him pitch, you know he is currently the best in baseball. Ozzie Guillen should have selected him after the players did not, and the fans definitely should have voted him in with the final vote over AJ Pierzynski. He finally made the squad by replacing Jose Contreras, who isn't injured but just won't pitch. Thats a strange occurence, because there are many times that pitchers aren't available to pitch during the game, but this is the first time I've heard of a replacement being named for one.
