Wright is trying to become the best 3rd baseman in New York, which is not an easy thing to do with A-Rod in the Bronx. However, it could be argued that his stats are superior to Rodriguez's right now, and there is no argument that Wright's team is in a better position in the standings. A-Rod still has Wright beat in the bank account, but Wright might not be far behind in the future if he continues to hit like he is now.
