Despite the attention he's getting because of the movie, and acknowledging his undoubted courage and determination, Braddock is far from being in the top rank of all time heavyweights.

After reading the book Cindereall Man and learning about this man, and what he went through. I developed alot of respect for him! He didn't have the best boxing record for a Hall of Fame boxer, but he often faught through pain. He also fought just to support his family and put food on his table. This is what motivated him, and helped him have one of the greatest comebacks in boxing history. Going from a washed up boxer in his early 30's all the way to the Heavy Weight Champion of the World. He had a strong chin that could take a pounding, and a strong right hand. Also he had never been knocked out in more then 80 professional fights.
