Jim Calhoun has definetely ranked among the top collegiate coaches in the history of the game with his work at the University of Connecticut. He started out at Northeastern and helped transition them from a D-2 to a D-1 program, and in '86 went over to UCONN and turned the men's program into a powerhouse. He's coached some great teams and led many to the NCAA tournament and two of them one the championship. In 2005 he was inducted into the National Basketball Hall of Fame.
