07/21/2006 | I'm all for anything that can give someone peace of mind. But "Sex Change" is a disingenuous term, because your chromosomes determine your sex, and no surgery in the world can change that. If you're born with male chromosomes, you're a man. If you're born with female chromosomes, you're a female. I know that sex change surgery gives those who submit to it a sense of fulfillment, and that's a positive thing, but it's hard to think of such surgery as anything other than sexual mutilation, complemented by hormone therapy. But, as John Lennon once said, whatever gets you through the night...

07/21/2006 | Again for myself personally this is ABSOLUTE no-no. But I truly feel nothing but sympathy for those who feel the need to do this and the confusion this may cause them. I'm not judging them, but its easy for those of us who are comfortable with our sex to judge those who aren't.
