OK, the BCS may have gotten it right this time, but the fact remains that the final-game matchup was made by a computer. So, sorry, there's still only one college sporting event that's really worth watching: March Madness. Oh, and maybe some track and field meets now that Alison Stokke has signed with Cal.

One of the greatest games, college or pro, ever. No way Texas wins this game without Vince Young, obviously.

glad to see that usc missed out on the chance to win two championships in a row. after hearing all that crap about the golden boys of america's most popular and media friendly college football team being the real champion of the 2003 season, it was a welcome change to watch them choke on national television. no excuses. it's also cool that it was some good ole' southern boys. too bad there isn't a 4 team 3 game playoff system in college football. i would give anything to watch the 2003 lsu tigers beat the crap out of usc's 2003 "championship" team.

Never heard of it and don't care either. I guess it's a big deal in the US, it's not over here.

'al', 'al', 'al'! Rethink this rating, would'ja? Penalizing one of the half-dozen most thrilling sports events, ever, for a late start? We'll never know how much that particular scheduling influenced the degree of intensity of the proceedings or on either team.

It was a great game in terms of historical significance, quality of play, and drama. I didn't give it a 5 only because of the late kickoff time. I had to TiVo the game due to me being an East-coaster and needing to get some sleep before going to work.

This was one of the years when the BCS actually provided a legite championship game. The game was amazing to watch. There were star players from both teams, and Vince Young had an absolutely amazing performance in the 4th quarter. One of the better college football games in recent memory.

Awesome game. Unforgettable( and I was rooting for USC, just because I'm a Texas A&M fan).
