I'm sure that the driving games on more modern platforms blow this one away, but Top Gear 3000 was the reason I picked up a SNES back in the day. The computer opponent is next to impossible to beat on the highest level and there are plenty of variations to keep the game interesting, but the head-to-head option for human races are top notch. Hard to find and probably not very popular when SNES was the standard, but this game remains five-star.
