This is a great feature of youtube to be able to embed the videos on your own site and blogs. or show your visitors something interesting.

Don't see the need for it since this place was (originally) based on the written form of expression instead of (or 'with') a video addition. Personally, I don't feel the need for it due to the tendency for people to let 'videos' become personal instead of opinion-focused, but one cannot fight evolution because nothing stays the same. I can deal with the change without feeling the need to use it.

I apologize for the minimalist video, but this might help you to embed video. Lawrence also posted it on the blog.

YouTubeRobot.com today announces YouTube Robot 2.0, a tool that enables you to download video from YouTube.com onto your PC, convert it to various formats to watch it when you are on the road on mobile devices like mobile phone, iPod, iPhone, Pocket PC, PSP, or Zune.
YouTube Robot allows you to search for videos using keywords or browse video by category, author, channel, language, tags, etc. When you find something noteworthy, you can preview the video right in YouTube Robot and then download it onto the hard disk drive. The speed, at which you will be downloading, is very high: up to 5 times faster than other software when you download a single file and up to 4 times faster when you download multiple files at a time.
Manual download is not the only option with YouTube Robot. You may as well schedule the download and conversion tasks to be executed automatically, even when you are not around. Downloading is followed by conversion to the format of your choice and uploading videos to a mobile device (if needed). For example, you can plug in iPod, select the video, go to bed, and when you wake up next morning, your iPod will be ready to play new YouTube videos.

As I've stated elsewhere, the ability to embed code (including YouTube videos) in reviews, item descriptions, etc. has the same pitfalls as the similar suggestion to allow more photos, namely more clutter. In my opinion some of the new changes have made this site look and feel less clean and professional, and this feature has the potential to favor form and aesthetics over function (i.e. more and better ratings and reviews). RIA isn't and shouldn't be MySpace. Nevertheless, if used judiciously and with some commonsense, embedding has great potential. I have taken the time to start adding YouTube videos to my music lists with the hope of adding some value; however, links and embedding in reviews would irritate me. Links and embedding should be part of the item description, not the reviews in my opinion.

The ability to incorporate videos is a big deal, I think. The good news is that embedded videos won't slow RIA down, as they would continue to be hosted remotely (by YouTube, for example). I just think it would be really cool, for example, to create lists of favorite videos - for example, my favorite music videos, and then folks give feedback. The other thing I like about this one is that it would be very easy to implement - all RIA would have to do is to allow HTML in item descriptions - the same functionality that would allow people to link out, bold words, etc.
