Though it seems like a good idea, as per the other reviewer's comments, the matter which wasn't addressed is, how to keep the reviewer from getting lost. It would be good so long as the link out was opened in a different page. otherwise, people have a tendency to get lost in cyber space. Someone who was new to the site or had just followed a link in from somewhere else and were not a member yet may not return.

Links would be useful in descriptions as well. Good way to refer the reader on to your source for the description and attribute the description to the source at the same time.

As the site has functioned just peachy keen without the ability to add links to reviews, I can't say that this enhancement is imperative (i.e. one star deducted) but it would be helpful. As other comments have noted, being able to include a link would allow a reviewer to point a reader to additional info, facts, etc. (especially relevant for political discussions). My only initial reservation is that some color scheme will be necessary to differentiate these links from the hot words that are flagged now (at least that's what looks like is happening).

Actually, I'm surprised RIA didn't do this a long time ago. Would be very useful.

I too think this would be a good idea. If you are making references in reviews it would be nice to be able to get to the source.

It's kind of neat to follow a conversation about a specific theme around the Web. In order for RIA not to be a dead end on these conversations, I think it's really important to let folks link out from their reviews. To point to other related resources, pics, etc.

I think this is a pretty good idea. Not only does it provide a reliable source for the reviewer to refer to but it may help explain more to the reader as well... shedding light on a topic they, the reader, may not have a lot of knowledge about.
