Ruger m77/22 3

These little rifles (I have the sporter version rather than the HB version), are nice light, serviceable rifles.  Ruger has some very innovative designs throughout the range and for the most part, you get good value for your money.  My particular specimen should be more accurate than it is and I have not figured out what the issues are keeping it from meeting my expectations.  All of my Remington bolt action rimfires and my 550-1 auto will outshoot it. 

Fit and finish of the rifle is very good.  Reliability has been great and accuracy, while not what I thought it should be, is perfectly fine for hunting small game and dispatching pests and vermin around the farm.  I have seen some of these that shoot like a laser, but mine is not that good.

Just a note, I tend to grade a little hard.  3 stars is an indication that it is a satisfactory piece rather than junk and is OK.  It takes a really outstanding piece to get 5 stars out of me.  So use this info to help you size up my rating; not everyone uses the same criterion, so YMMV.
