08/16/2007 | I'd like to know if the Soviets used to have a factory to make eyebrows for the members of the Politburo.
Go take a look at pictures of these guys from the 60's and 70's, and they almost all look like they're wearing swatches off a shag rug above their eyes.
Brezhnev, as General Secretary obviously got first pick, because his eyebrows could easily hide a KGB agent or two.

07/26/2006 | A political Cartoonists dream come true, he looked like a living caricature. I'm pretty sure the Gungan leader from the latest Star Wars movies was modeled after Brezhnev.

07/25/2006 | In TV-Land, Elaine and Seinfeld were once arguing over the ugliest world leaders at which time Jerry stated, "there's no contest. It begins and ends with Brezhnev". Flipping through the picture pages of history, one is hard pressed to find fault in that position. Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev was born in 1906 and headed the former Soviet Union from 1964 until his death in 1982.
