09/19/2006 | I watched almost every episode, and there were some great, great, great rock singers. Some were not so great, of course, but that's to be expected in any competition. My top 5, in order of least to best, are: 5- Lucas 4- Brian 3-Magney 2- Dilanna 1- Toby (I know I spelled most of those wrong!). I can't BELIEVE Lucas won, but that doesn't take anything away from the show as a whole. Toby deserved to win, but it was a great show. 7 or 8 of the singers showed enormous talent, and the the final five all had very cool original songs (especially Toby and Magney). No, I'm not obsessed with the guy, but I hope Toby gets in with a good band. His voice is almost perfect for alternative/rock.

09/02/2006 |  I am LOVING this show! First off, "The House Band" is made up of some of the best session musicians out there. And, "Supernova" quickly got rid of MOST of the wasted non-talent, although it took them longer to drop Zayre than I expected. This year, "Rock Star" REALLY rocks! The remaining five singers are all excellent. My hope is to see Storm dropped -- sorry, guys, she's sexy and all that, but she's just not REALLY right for "Supernova." I miss Josh, but knew -- from the start -- that he wasn't right for "Supernova," but I sure wish him a GREAT career, because he's a very, very good singer/songwriter. My favorites for fronting "Supernova" are still Lukas and Dilana. I am still thinking, though, that "Supernova" may go with Toby, because of his dynamism, and his appeal with women. But for talent alone, Dilana and Lukas both thrill me to pieces, week after week after week. Lukas may be too young for the band, though (????). And, of course, Dilana went over the edge last week, and made a lot of people pretty damn uncomfortable. I'm babbling, I know, because I'm torn. My two personal favorites are definitely Dilana and Lukas, and I would be okay with either choice, but I'm still thinking Toby has a chance. I'd sure love to hear from others what they GENUINELY think about the potential each of these final five has of BEING the front singer for "Supernova." Personal feelings aside, mind you. THAT'S the trick, really!
