FINALLY a normal looking woman on TV news!! With all those old, fat, balding, triple chinned men, we finally have a normal looking woman, who is a GREAT news anchor, on TV! you go girl! I do think she had a 'lift' a couple years ago--too bad, probably that or lose her job in this sex kitten obsession with female news anchors, where every ugly man seems to already be employed. What her politics are, I don't care, every time I have watched her anchor an evening news, she has been great at it, go go go!

Carole Simpson has done no more than to make the point....if you do not think as a liberal....you and your children are dumb. Well Ms Simpson has only proved what many of us already know....it does not take a great intelectual to be a journalist. You just don't get it.

Carole Simpson said she became a journalist to change America, the problem with that is that the job of the journalist is to report the truth. Something our media seldom does w/o tremendous bias. If she wanted to change America she should have gotten into politics. See how well it worked for Kerry :-). Actually I think America was blessed by the effect Kerry had on politics; I believe that he more than anyone woke up the silent majority who beleive that Christian moral values are important. God blesses those who obey Him and disciplines those who reject him. I would like to see America stay on the blessing side of the equation.

SHe is very biased. She wants to mold the dumb kids at the high schools that she has been going to, to think like a Democrat. Now yes I am a conservative but I would not want it that way either. Her job is to tell the news, period. Not to slant it one way because she think it is better.

Watching Carole Simpson on the CSPAN Panel last night stopped me dead in my tracks. Not only did Ms. Simpson inspire serious reflection on those very important issues she rose, but about how each of us might contribute to creating solutions to them. America needs to see [and hear] more of her and more like her.

11/09/04 Hi, Thanks for this opportunity. I saw Ms. Simpson on CSPAN this weekend. She was member of Journalism panel populated by her and several men. She is an erudite speaker, she held her own even sitting next to the heavy handed Pat Robertson, who is able like Bob Novak to throw a wet blanket over any conversation or point different than his own. She brought up relevant points, one being that the Election 2004 symbol, which is by now boring misleading image, that defines geography not populace, how looks to her just like the division map of the country during pre-abolition time. All her points were valid, about young people today, not watching any news. Instead watching a steady stream of reality or survival shows. How the constantly needed to be entertained eg: steady digest of earphones and the like. How they never get to sit down with their family to eat dinner and discus world events etc, instead always eating out of a bag. She wondered where are the parents? I was dismayed that none of the other panelists picked up on these observations. Pat was quiet while she spoke, I hoped as a conservative hed have constructive advice on how this happened and what to do solve it, but no, he was just thinking about his next advancement of the far right agenda. Anyhow kudos to Carole, I hope she keeps it up and somebody hears her. Thank you. Portia mottola

I heard Ms. Simpson's comments at a recent round table discussing the election and her efforts to teach children to watch the news. She criticized the intelligence of the kid's she had spoken with saying they dont watch the news! She was vexed, confused and worried about how the country would survive with the intellectual void she saw. I think she is confusing intelligence with her attempt to brain wash. What a pathetic creature.

Anybody watching and listening to Carole Simpson on CSPAN Nov 8 04 understood why the Democrats lost big time! She said those who voted red are UNINFORMED! I suppose in her world there shouldn't be two ideologies, no freedom of conscience, everybody should be a Liberal like her!! She belittled, scorned, disdained the uneducated, the kids who don't do well... those who listen to Rush Limbaugh and other Conservatives and called them uniformed! because they don't watch Carole Simpson and the rest of the arrogant, elitist, OLD MEDIA and because they don't believe their bias! This woman became a jornalist TO CHANGE AMERICA!!! Is that what news is about? to change the readers??? You want to know more about why Democrats lost?!! Then go to CSPAN and listen to her! According to Carole, if you don't think liberal like her, you are considered stupid, ignorant, or both. She stated she got into journalism to change the world....hey Carole, you are suppose to REPORT the events, not change them to your skewed view. Carole Simpson is an example of what's WRONG with most of today's news reporting........far left biased. I love Carole Simpson, but she needs to move up to a higher level on ABC News. She should replace that dull Peter Jennings on World News Tonight. And soon! She should get her lawyer, manager, or something and get some $2-3 million dollars a year contract to anchor the 6:30 broadcast. She's been on the mid level part of that news division for 5 years or so. She can have her good and bad days, but she does a superior job. And if it doesn't happen, she should quit there and get on CBS or NBC or FOX because ABC hasn't pushed her enough like the other anchors!
