Up until the Canadian dollar got back up to par with its US cousin after years of languishing about 30% behind, some of us up here called it the "Hudson's Bay Peso"

Does not sound like a currency you can count on. Do you mind if I pay you in pesos? Actually, I do. The peso has developed a pretty bad reputation in all these countries. Maybe they should follow Europe's example and start a new currency with a better name, like 'The Latino'; there's a strong, solid, manly currency you can count on.
