If you REALLY want America on a road to change this is the guy who should be getting the votes. Unfortunately although people say they want change what they really mean is change, if they can still run up their credit card bills and buy gas guzzlers they have to finance for 20 years. With this in mind the media can't back him or pretty much even acknowledge him so ends Ron Paul's quest for the Oval Office. I guess Barack Obama is the best you're gonna get now. Anyone who votes Conservative after these past 8 years deserves to be lobotomized.

Most of politicians has nothink to say. They speak a wooden language, has image makers, serve the power. They are not really politicians but slaves of the rich and clowns.
Ron Paul had s/th to say, isn't like the other. He was the real revolution, not the negro, that's why he can't be president.

Over all I like this man a lot. I only disagree with him on his isolationist tendencies.

Sundiszno why is it when a politicians thinks outside the box you brand him a looney?

I will tell you what I like about Ron Paul he said if he makes office he would with the stroke of a pen abolish the IRS and institute a consumption tax which would be paid at the cash registered where the money would still go into the treasury.

This would alleviate tax filings, audits(at great expense), seizures, of property, leins, garnishment of wages and Jail time which is exactly what you agree to when you sign your tax form.

Ron also would get rid of the Federal Reserve so we would have money backed by gold and not federal reserve notes.

As far as an Isolationist I do not know that i would call it that, but minding our own business which is in direct contrast to our currentl policy of the last 63 yeasr off involving and interjecting our country into other peoples business has to end.

I believe he is an isolationist. Although I agree with some of his views or beliefs (such as his views on trade with and indebtedness to China). I think that he's just a bit looney, or at the very least, out of touch with reality. I haven't heard any concrete proposals from him on how to solve some of the problems he points out, other than basically to spend not a cent overseas, not to get involved with anyone or anything overseas, and maybe not to do any more space exploration. Isolationist he seems to be.

Ron is my hero. I registered to vote for him. I promised myself I would never vote. This guy is amazing. Race issues is a rediculous theory. Getting supported by a white supremacist doesn't mean you are a racist, neither does a pamphlet stereotyping african americas YOU DIDN'T PUBLISH.

5 Stars. No less.

"But if he is elected Ron Paul will oversee an administration that will make history. In that four year period America will produce an automobile that can get 400 miles a gallon. In that same four years 60% of Americans will get off the electrical grid, producing their own electricity, DC, for less than $100.00 a year in fuel. At the end of his first term the FED will be dead. Americans will again own their own souls."

If that's all true fact I nearly creamed my pants and pray to God, Allah and Buddha that he will become president.

Ron Paul is the only candidate that can save this nation and fight the globalists among us who are seeking to destroy our country. Ron Paul is the only person in congress who has been true to his oath of office. Ron Paul will restore our republic and overturn the decades of executive orders that have removed The Constitution as law of the land!!! say no to the patriot act, say no to the coming national id card, say no to the U N, say no to unconstitutional "wars", say no to tyranny in America, say yes to freedom and liberty, say yes to the ideology that made this country great for 200 years. vote for Ron Paul please.

Paul is trashed because his campaign is about ideas - not bashing opponents or offering a bunch of goodes or launching war for peace (lol) around the globe. You can't help but like a guy with lifelong convictions that don't change with polls or audience. I think it's great that he is as surprised of his success as anyone. His gentle, intellectual approach is so differnt than the "front runners" with their one liners and focus group tested responses. He speaks to you as if you had a brain. He is the ONLY grassroots candidate. I have yet to meet a single voter for Rudi or Mitt, not one.

Ron Paul, age 72, is a very mixed bag. He has some good positions, but he also has some very far-right fringe positions that are downright kookie. Well spoken and intelligent, but too far out there on too many issues for me. To read my summary of what he supports and opposes, click here.

I would absolutely not refer to him comparatively with Dean. This man has years of consistent voting and strong morals. do some research and you'll find he has more character than Dean ever had. Best of all hes not full of rederic like the rest.(sp?)Hoping for the best man for the job is one thing -- but although he'll get my vote he is being shunned by big media.

This guy is shaping up to be the Republican version of Howard Dean.

He's a loose cannon with ill-defined or partially defined policies, with a limited base, and a campaign tied heavily to the internet. The big difference is that so far he hasn't been able to raise the kind of cash Dean could in the early going.

I hate the guy but I must admit he is very clever. He doesn't say what his foreign policy really is, and that is ISOLATIONISM. Instead he cleverly says that he believes in a "NON-INTERVENTIONIST" foreign policy. He is one of those throwback isolationist Republicans that believes we should stay out of foreign affairs completely and just worry about our own problems at home. So, if genocide is taking place somewhere and a million or more innocent people are being massacred, he would say the U.S. should stay out of it because it is "none of our business."

I think the guy should go back and read HISTORY! During the 1930's, when Franklin Roosevelt, an interventionist, was saying that the U.S. needed to intervene and help Europe resist Hitler's expansion, it was the isolationist Republicans that were saying that we needed to stay out. And then Pearl Harbor happened, and the isolationists were proven dead WRONG! When we try to stay out of world affairs, there are horrific consequences! Who else, other than the U.S., is going to solve the world's problems, like the Iranian nuclear program and international terrorism?! It's certainly not going to be China or Russia!!! And it's certainly not going to be the UNITED NATIONS!!!

I actually respect Ron Paul on a number of issues (disagree w/a few) but overall, I think he would be a great president. While my review may lack substance, Ron deserves a 4 just for being individualistic and one of the few non-drones in Congress.

I am hazy on Paul's stance when it comes to border enforcement and the deportation of illegals- the single most important issue facing our nation. In response to undertow: Yes, Paul voted against the war in Iraq, but I never heard him say that 9/11 was our own fault. BTW, these days with Bush, McCain, et al..."Rino" is a compliment.

Has been in congree for years and has accomplished NOTHING. Not a republican... is a libertarian. Voted against Iraq war, claims 9-11 was Americas Fault. Ideology is at odds with the people he represents and he only holds on to his job because so many people in Texas just vote Republican without knowing what those they vote for really stand behind. Total RINO and needs to be voted out of office.

The republican congressman from Texas is among my favorite politician. He's actually a libertarian. Probably the only republican congressman or senator to vote against the Iraq war. Not afraid to take an unpopular stance in doing what's right. Ron Paul is the most fiscally conservative representative and was awarded the highest rating by the National Taxpayers Union. He has sided with a sound money policy and wishes to move to a gold standard. On the social side he has argued for the legalization of marijuana.
