A pretty good song which the local rock station around here embraced and played fairly regularly over the years.

With "Ah! Leah!" Donnie Iris, who had previous one hit wonder fame with the Jaggerz ("The Rapper") and Wild Cherry ("Play That Funky Music"), took a stab at new wave influenced classic rock & roll. I have to admit to still liking this song today (with its very infectious hooks), notwithstanding that most people probably don't remember this single (having only charted for 6 weeks in 1981 (#29). Though no one of note has covered this song, Iris did record an excellent (and somewhat rare) acoustic version some 20 years later (which I highly recommend).
