07/28/2006 | Finding a dog trainer who also competes in performance events has a few good advantages. One is these people often have a trainer of their own and attend seminars to keep up with what is new. Second, they spend a lot of time around other people who train dogs so they can discuss methods and procedures. The trainer who is "doing" is more apt to be able to help you with your dog.
